Known as Project Goliath, buildings 2 & 3 of CyrusOne’s Northern Virginia Sterling data center campus featured one of the most challenging construction schedules in the industry and set a new construction speed record, being constructed in 26 weeks. The scope of work involved 220,000 SF with 20 megawatts of electrical infrastructure including 20 diesel generators, 20 exterior walk-in, modular data center containers enclosing 40 battery powered Uninterrupted Power Sources (UPS) and 120 devices for power distribution and switching.
