Rosendin provided design-build electrical construction services for a $99.7M education facility for the Marines on Quantico Marine Corps Base. The first phase of the project is an Addition to the Marine Corps Gray Research Center. This addition supports the Archival and History divisions of the Marine Corp University and consists of classrooms, offices, and an auditorium. The project also includes climate-controlled storage areas for film and photograph storage, a small data center, storage vault for classified documents and spaces with SCIF-type (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) construction. The community and support service areas include storage, lounges, conference rooms, restrooms, equipment rooms, elevators, and parking. The second phase of this project consists of the construction of a new academic instruction facility to support the resident officers for Professional Military Education schools and college. The building provides state of the art multimedia classrooms with video teleconferencing capability, study carrels, conference rooms, auditoriums, administrative and faculty offices, snack bar with kitchen, barber shop and gymnasium. Rosendin provided fire alarm systems, energy-saving electronic monitoring and control systems and information systems for both phases of this project.
