“We were satisfied with the turnout for TRF Camp Build, as this marked our first camp launch,” said Jolsna Thomas, President of The Rosendin Foundation. “It was inspiring to see how engaged the kids were, eagerly absorbing information and participating in the activities. We are genuinely proud to help inspire the next generation with empowering options for fulfilling and life-changing career paths.”

Held at the headquarters of Modular Power Solutions, a design and manufacturing facility located at 3007 Fallon Drive in Sherman, the free co-ed day camp for current 6th-8th graders provided hands-on building experience and equipped students with the necessary skills to continue building in the future. Participants learned essential skills such as using power tools safely, building a project, and exploring potential career paths in the growing industrialized construction industry under the guidance of skilled professionals.

“I had so much fun at camp! I’ve never used power tools before, but now I can build things,” said Keith Godfrey, a camper who participated in TRF Camp Build. “It’s amazing what we can create with our hands, and I can’t wait to see what else I can do in the future.”

TRF Camp Build offered students a safe environment to explore different career paths in industrialized construction and gain practical learning experience. The nonprofit sponsored this event, and four others nationwide, thanks to generous support from sponsors and in-kind donors, including Diamond-level sponsorship from sister companies Rosendin and MPS, Silver-level sponsors Cadence McShane Construction and Electrical Reliability Services, and Bronze-level sponsors BURNDY and MP Husky. In-kind donors included Milwaukee Tools, Stanley Black and Decker, Border States, and Graybar.

Rosendin is committed to giving back to the communities where we work and live. Our Texas team was recently honored at the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post of Leander, Texas Annual Dinner for contributing to the Texas Pumpkin Fest.

The annual event features exciting attractions, local vendors, and a mini carnival. Most importantly, it raises close to $50,000 annually for its cause. In 2024, the Post transitioned from using portable generators at the event to traditional cord and plug-type distribution. Rosendin's engineers and electricians graciously volunteered their time to help design and execute this change for a successful event.

Thank you to our Texas team and Jeffery Johanson, Senior Project Manager and VFW member, for spearheading this effort and living our core values.
